Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver rapid mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, repair vehicles and help members continue their journeys safely with the latest diagnostic tools.

The role offers a structured development programme, with accreditation opportunities through IMI, and a demand-led schedule averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.

Education
