Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency support, getting members back on the road quickly and safely.

You’ll work independently, using advanced diagnostic tools, and pursue IMI accreditation through our structured development pathway, with opportunities for autonomy and career growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
