Responsibilities (Level 3 Maintenance Fitter – Deeside)

• Provide an estimate of arrival time at customer's site based on service request details.
• Identify parts required to carry out the repair and requisition any parts.
• Attend customer sites, diagnose problems, and provide comprehensive detail to customers and Finning for quoting.
• Carry out service and repair work on machines according to agreed work plan.
• Remove and dispatch components for specialist attention and reinstall original or replacement parts to bring machine up to required standards.
• Plan and organise work to meet tight deadlines in high‑pressure situations.
• Maintain accurate records using dealer software and repair techniques.

Qualifications (Level 3 Maintenance Fitter)

• Apprentice‑trained or formally trained engineer (NVQ Level 3 preferred in Land‑Based Engineering/Plant Fitting).
• Experience as a field service engineer.
• Knowledge of field‑based diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Heavy earth‑moving equipment operating knowledge.
• LDV driving licence.
• Experience with a variety of construction and static machines.
