Overview

Roadside Technician

Location: You will have a geographical area based from where you live so this isn’t crucial. This opportunity covers the Harlow area.

Salary: £48,720 basic plus overtime (Paid at time and a half). Overall earnings can be as high as £55,000 depending on how much time you’re willing to do.

Hours: 40-hour working week. Earliest start 6am; latest finish 2am with a 12-hour mandatory rest period between shifts. Rota posted 7 days in advance and can be subject to change up to 72 hours prior.

You’ll enjoy variety, autonomy, and the tools you need to succeed from day one – including your own van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.

What a Roadside Technician role does

• Respond to a range of roadside issues: diagnostics, flat tyres, batteries, and more.
• Work a flexible schedule between 06:00 – 02:00, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Manage your own kit, keep your van stocked, and complete reports efficiently.
• Provide top-notch customer service and problem-solving on every call-out.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Customer-focused, calm under pressure, and adaptable to changing situations.
• Flexible and able to travel, including overnight stays if needed.
