Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair faults on the roadside, delivering reliable support across the UK. You will start and finish from home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime. You will receive a RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit from day one, plus a competitive base pay and realistic OTE.

You’ll be part of the Cheltenham cluster covering surrounding areas, enjoying strong benefits and career growth in a trusted 125-year-old brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish from home; tackle challenges on different calls with local focus.
• Operate RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.

Skills

2+ years LV Maintenance experience

5+ years Vehicle Technician experience

UK driving licence (≤6 points)

Education
