Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will work locally, starting and finishing at home, with your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided from day one.

You’ll diagnose faults, handle tyre changes and battery issues, and ensure quick, confident solutions with outstanding member service. The role offers strong base pay and realistic OTE through bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Utilise diagnostic kit and tools to identify faults.
• Start and end each day at home with RAC van and equipment.
