Job summary

Kuehne + Nagel is seeking a Road Logistics Account Manager to join our East Midlands Gateway office. You will drive customer projects, own operations for the customer, and work with the National Business Manager to implement new processes during onboarding.

You will liaise with internal teams and customers to optimize logistics, meet OTIF targets, and roll out new scope requirements while delivering excellent service in a complex supply chain environment.

Qualifications

Good knowledge of international and domestic logistics.
Excellent customer service skills.
Consumer product sector experience.
Understanding of 3PL vs 4PL business models.
Proficient MS Office skills, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer and all relevant teams within the customer's organisation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including NCS Manager, Business Manager, Logistics Partner Manager, etc.
Own overall operational processes, escalations and all other matters for your team and your customer.
Ensure customer OTIF is met and relevant MI is provided to mitigate failures.
Manage the rollout of the operational requirement for the new scope.
Communicate with the customer regularly via verbal updates, email, Teams, and face‑to‑face meetings.
Support value-add initiatives as part of our continuous improvement commitment to the customer.
Ensure the operational output aligns with staffing levels to meet the contract and business case.
