Job description

A respected global business is seeking a Risk and Compliance Specialist to join their insurance management team. The successful candidate will provide compliance support, help identify emerging risks, and contribute to process and policy improvements.

Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing and maintaining compliance registers and databases across the group.
  • Acting as Deputy MLRO / MLCO and overseeing financial crime prevention processes.
  • Carrying out client due diligence reviews and reporting on AML / CFT matters.
  • Monitoring regulatory updates and identifying new and emerging risks.
  • Reviewing, updating, and implementing internal policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the firm's data protection framework, ensuring compliance with local laws and group policies.
  • Promoting a strong compliance culture and supporting colleagues with guidance and training.
  • Delivering relevant compliance and risk training to staff.
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, regulators, and law enforcement bodies.
  • Collaborating with global compliance colleagues to ensure consistency and best practice across jurisdictions.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a compliance or risk management role in financial services-preferably in insurance management or a regulated fiduciary business. They will have a sound understanding of Guernsey's regulatory and financial crime frameworks, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Professional compliance or financial services qualifications (such as ICA, CISI, or equivalent) are desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.
