Overview

We are looking for a Rights & Contracts Coordinator to join the BFI's Rights & Contracts team, working across providing comprehensive support to the Rights and Contracts Department in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking general administrative duties, such as drafting meeting agendas, action points, correspondence, summaries, reports, coordinating calendars, invoicing and frequent liaison with other BFI departments to gather and supply information, document and filing administration and organisation, rights and document research.
  • Providing support and coordination throughout the rights acquisition process by keeping accurate records, ensuring outstanding items are pursued and tracking contracts and delivery.
  • Recording rights information and the terms of contracts on the distribution database, tracking documentation generated by the team through licensing rights, providing support to and liaising with the royalties team and processes as requested.
  • Liaising with media industry guilds, unions and performing rights societies, and coordinating payments thereto (such as MCPS) as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous administrative experience within a media legal, business affairs or contract management environment.
  • Knowledge of film rights contract terminology.
  • Good communication skills, including oral and written.
  • Excellent organisational skills to be able to deal with large amounts of data.
  • Demonstrable ability to enter data accurately.
  • Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team.
