Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is seeking an Electronics Repair Engineer for a well established UK client. The role involves diagnosing faults to component level on RF transmitters and related equipment, with initial training at a workshop in Wales before moving to Scotland.

The position combines workshop-based electronics repair with occasional field duties, requiring travel and a full UK driving licence. Ex-military candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong electronics engineering background with ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Experience diagnosing faults on PCBs down to individual components.
• Confident soldering, desoldering, rework and electronic repairs.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and multimeters.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault find and repair RF transmitters and related equipment to component level.
• Test, align and calibrate repaired equipment before service restoration.
• Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and spectrum analysers.
• Install, commission, maintain and upgrade communications systems and equipment.
• Support fault investigation and repair across customer and network sites as required.
• Participate in an out of hours support rota once trained.
