With a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and sustainability, the company delivers high-standard retrofit solutions designed to improve home efficiency and comfort while supporting the transition to a greener future.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Retrofit Assessor who can also undertake Pre-Installation Building Inspections (PIBI) in line with PAS 2035 guidance. This combined role ensures both compliant retrofit assessments and robust site readiness checks are completed simultaneously — improving installation quality, streamlining project delivery, and reducing the risk of delays or design errors. Key Responsibilities
Retrofit Assessment (PAS 2035)
  • Conduct detailed, PAS-compliant retrofit assessments for domestic properties.
  • Gather and analyse data on occupancy, energy usage, ventilation, building condition, and existing systems.
  • Produce and submit Retrofit Assessment Reports to support whole-house retrofit planning.
  • Identify and record any risks, limitations, or constraints affecting proposed measures.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring professionalism and clear engagement.
Pre-Installation Building Inspection (PIBI) / Technical Survey
  • Complete the PAS-compliant PIBI form as part of the assessment visit.
  • Evaluate key property aspects such as wall and roof construction, access, ventilation, and pre-existing defects.
  • Identify technical, logistical, or safety issues that may affect installation feasibility.
  • Carry out Technical Surveys for insulation measures to support pricing and compliance documentation.
  • Provide clear photographic evidence and detailed supporting notes.
  • Liaise with Retrofit Coordinators and Designers to flag redesign or remedial requirements where needed.
