Job summary

New Balance is hiring Retail Associates to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will engage customers from the moment they walk in, educate them on products and brand values, and help deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

As a team player, you’ll support store standards, assist in coaching colleagues, meet personal KPIs, handle basic maths and POS transactions, and be flexible for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong customer service and teamwork.
• Waits for basic mathematics skills for transactions.
• Familiar with POS register systems and sales procedures.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the brand.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store following company procedures.
• Engage customers and provide product education.
• Maintain store and back-of-house standards.
• Assist in training and coaching associates.

• Ensure total customer satisfaction throughout the shopping journey.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards in-store.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Open and close the store following the correct company procedures
• Encourage continuous improvement through ongoing feedback
• Support the Store Management team on overall store and back of house standards
• Assist in training and coaching Associates
• To achieve personal KPIs and contribute to overall store performance
• Deliver total customer satisfaction to every customer, following the end-to-end customer journey – from entering the store to leaving the store
• Help to ensure the store remains commercial as possible following company guidelines
• Adhere to company’s policies and procedures
• Responsible for maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards in store
• Perform other duties that as required from the management team

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

• Previous retail experience desirable or proven experience in a team environment
• Demonstrate customer service skills

• Ability to perform basic maths and general retail operational processes
• Understanding of POS register systems
• Effective communication skills
