Overview

RETAIL STORE MANAGER – 30 HOURS PER WEEK

Established in 2012 Grape Tree currently has 186 stores in the UK. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager who can represent our Company in our SOLIHULL store. You will be reporting to the Retail Operations Manager.

Your duties will include:

Responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of stock control, including ordering goods, dealing with deliveries and banking monies.
  • You must be a hands-on manager.
  • Operate the till in accordance with the company instructions.
  • Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.
  • Ensure that the shelves are well filled, stocked and faced up at all times.
  • Ensure correct pricing of products and stock rotation, including removal from sale of any goods exceeding the use-by date and advise management of any best-before issues.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
  • Observe company rules at all times and report any breaches witnessed.
  • Ensure all staff fully cooperate to ensure the smooth running of the store.
Essential Skills / Experience
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.
  • Good cash handling skills.
  • Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills.
  • Organised and practically minded; able to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
  • Experience in roles such as Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, Food Retail, Supermarket, Customer Service, Convenience Store, etc. (preferred).
  • The store trades Monday to Sunday and it is essential that the successful candidate is flexible to work within these hours.
  • We are looking for someone with flair and ideas, who enjoys sales and promotions, and who aims to hit and exceed targets.
