Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd. is seeking a committed Shift Manager who will support the management team to deliver consistent results and be the best place to shop and work.

You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store. You will oversee daily operations, drive availability, and lead a team to provide excellent service while upholding cash handling and security policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: deliver great availability for customers.
• Sell a £1 & save a £1 to drive sales.
• Deliver on all actions set by your line manager.
• Engage, develop & retain great people: support Talking Shop Rep and team engagement, foster an inclusive culture.
• Do the right processes and do them right: follow cash handling, security policies, and implement One Best Way processes.
• Lead with a customer‑centric approach and be approachable to customers.
