Job summary

Iceland Foods is seeking a committed Shift Manager who will support the management team to deliver consistent results and be the best place to shop and work. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

In this role you will maximise profit with strong product availability, drive sales with £1 & save a £1 initiatives, and deliver actions set by your line manager.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: focus on delivering great availability for customers.
• Actively sell a £1 & save a £1 to drive sales.
• Deliver on actions set by your line manager.
• Engage, develop & retain great people; support Talking Shop Rep and team engagement.
• Do the right processes: follow cash handling and security policies and drive digital service improvements.
• Lead by example to create an inclusive culture and up-skill the team.
