Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is recruiting for a Retail Security Officer at M&S Ilkeston SF. The role guarantees 40+ hours per week and pays £13.58 per hour, with a strong focus on customer service, safety and security.

You will monitor store activity, handle incidents, and work with colleagues to maintain a welcoming and safe shopping environment. SIA licence is desirable but not essential; training and security support are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert and ready to assist when needed.

• Help keep stores safe and secure, prevent loss, respond to incidents and identify risks.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support operations.
• Stay calm under pressure, act professionally, and support emergency procedures.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards and a positive environment.
• Adapt to changing situations to support the store when needed.
