Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Retail Support Security Officer for M&S locations across Meadowhall, Sheffield and nearby areas. The role offers £15 per hour and requires access to a vehicle due to multiple store locations.

You will help create a safe, welcoming environment while protecting people and products. The role emphasises calm under pressure, professionalism, and a proactive approach to security, loss prevention, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.

Responsibilities

• Keep stores safe and secure, prevent loss and respond to incidents.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support operations and incident management.
• Provide professional support to customers and colleagues, creating a welcoming store environment.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards and adapt to changing situations.
