Mitie is hiring a Retail Security Officer for M&S Huddersfield C on a frontline role focused on safety, service and loss prevention. The position offers a wage of £13.58 per hour and a guaranteed 40+ hours per week, with a strong emphasis on customer service and professional conduct.

In this role you will be the visible security presence, support customers and colleagues, and use store tech to manage incidents while remaining calm under pressure and upholding store standards.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm, confident and professional approach
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
• Be a visible store presence, greeting customers and providing professional support to customers and colleagues.
• Help keep stores safe and secure by preventing loss, responding to incidents, and identifying risks.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure and act professionally in challenging situations.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards and support operations.
• Adapt to changing situations to support the store as needed.
