M&S is recruiting a Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues. You will be a visible, professional presence, assisting shoppers while protecting people, stores and products.

In this role you will handle incidents, deter losses and support safe working practices with confidence, using store tech and body-worn cameras. Previous security experience is a plus; SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred.
• SIA licence desirable, not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, confident and professional approach.
• Ability to provide a 5-year checkable UK work history.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert and responsive.
• Prevent loss and respond to incidents to protect people and products.
• Identify risks and support safe ways of working in-store.
• Utilise store technology and body‑worn cameras to support operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure and work as part of the store team to maintain high standards.
