Overview

Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? At eXPD8, we’re looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in the M44 6BA area. You’ll be part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. This role is based in one area, with work opportunities across a variety of stores.

You will be responsible for ensuring fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked. This role covers Tesco Irlam – Fairhills Road and will work across a variety of categories including Toys. Working days/hours: 5, Sunday 11:00-16:00. Ad hoc work may be available as discussed and agreed.

Responsibilities
  • Compliance and standards: follow merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures, and health and safety guidance.
  • Planograms: follow and implement planograms to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
  • Product placement and replenishment: arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
  • Promotional and point-of-sale setup: set up promotional displays and signage, communicating prices, discounts, and special offers.
  • Strong communication and relationship building: build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
  • Feedback: provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application, acting as the eyes and ears in the stores.

  • Comfortable with a bit of manual handling; you will move and arrange products from the warehouse to the shop floor.
  • Willing to accept home deliveries of point-of-sale or stock items for some visits (you’ll be paid extra).
  • Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about tasks.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car is a bonus.
