Excel Recruitment is assisting a leading Ireland-based big-box retailer in Newry, Northern Ireland, to hire a Retail Duty Manager. You will own daily store operations, drive sales, and mentor a 25+ strong team to deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

This role focuses on hands-on leadership, stock control, merchandising, and compliance, with emphasis on developing people and delivering results for the business.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in retail management, ideally in big-box or large-format stores.
• Experience leading teams of 25+ employees.
• Strong leadership, people management and organizational skills.
• Resilience and adaptability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations, including stock control, merchandising, staffing and compliance.
• Champion the customer experience, delivering memorable shopping moments.
• Inspire and motivate the team, setting high standards and fostering collaboration.
• Resolve problems quickly to keep store operations running smoothly.
• Maintain clear communication between team members and senior management.
