Job summary

One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for a busy retail environment where no day is the same. You will help customers, stock shelves, process payments and assist in maintaining the store’s appearance.

You will engage with customers, follow safety and cash-handling procedures, clock in/out accurately, and may cover shifts in the absence of leadership. If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include post office operations with required checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service with passion and pride.
• Encourage customer feedback via surveys.
• Support all store areas including online, tills, replenishment and stock routines.
• Apply training to work safely and compliantly.
• Participate in seasonal and community events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
• Know store performance and contribute to profitability.
• Live company values, welcome customers and follow policies.
• Clock in/out accurately to ensure correct pay.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Adhere to Think 25 policy for age-restricted sales.
• Respond to assistance calls at self-checkouts and explain actions.
• Maintain a clean, tidy store and clear aisles.
• Occasionally cover shifts when leaders are absent.
• Follow training to keep people safe and compliant.
• If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include post office operations and required background checks.
