Retail Assistant - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Redditch, Worcestershire. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours worked over 5 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

Hours and Pay

• Hours: 20 hours across 5 days per week
• Pay: £10.10 per hour (ages 16‑20) – £12.31 per hour (ages 21+)

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy

• Enjoy being busy and able to jump from deliveries to till, customer assistance, cleaning and stock rotation routines
• Reliability – you are an important part of a small team and your teammates and customers depend on you to do your best on each shift
• Flexibility with shifts – when colleagues are off we may need you to work slightly different hours; we plan rosters three weeks in advance and consider your commitments outside of work
