Job summary

Shepherd Neame Limited seeks a Restaurant Team Member to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks in a friendly, efficient manner. You’ll work with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

No experience? Training provided to help you thrive in a role at Britain’s Oldest Brewer. This is a hands-on hospitality position with flexible hours and opportunities to grow within our pubs and venues.

Where You’ll Be Working

The Old Mill in Kennington, Ashford is a cosy country pub located on Canterbury Road, overlooking Dukes Spring, a tributary of the Great Stour River. Dating back to the early 19th century, the Old Mill is a Grade II listed building, taking its name from the nearby Kennington Mill, little of which now remains, having previously been known as the Golden Ball.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with warmth and ensure they feel valued throughout their visit.
• Take orders accurately and serve food and drinks promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised dining area and uphold hygiene standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
• Contribute ideas to improve the guest experience.
