Job summary

The Groucho Club, Limited. in London is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor who can lead from the floor, inspire a team, and deliver exceptional experiences for members and guests daily.

You will bridge restaurant operations with management, ensuring smooth shifts and maintaining the club’s relaxed professionalism and distinctive character. Ideal candidates are organized, confident, and visible on the floor, comfortable guiding the team through busy periods, and building strong member relationships

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in hospitality settings.
• Strong guest service orientation and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day restaurant operations across Dining Room and Bernie's.
• Motivate, guide and coach the restaurant team through each shift.
• Create welcoming, memorable experiences for members and guests from arrival to departure.
• Manage table allocations, reservations and service flow for smooth operations.
• Build strong relationships with members and regular guests and anticipate needs.
• Lead pre-service briefings, share menu updates and priorities.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, reception, events and Duty Managers to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor cleanliness, ambience and readiness across all areas.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate when needed.
• Ensure accurate payments and adherence to operational procedures.
• Support staff welfare, attendance and positive team culture.
• Uphold Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene and Allergen standards.
• Promote club offerings to enhance guest experience and revenue opportunities.
