The Groucho Club in London is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to lead the dining room and Bernie’s, guiding the team to deliver exceptional experiences for our members and guests daily.

You will bridge the restaurant floor with management, ensuring smooth shifts, maintaining a relaxed professionalism, and upholding the club’s distinctive character. The role emphasizes leadership, hospitality, and a hands-on approach in a vibrant setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Restaurant Supervisor or senior hospitality leadership role.
• A natural leader who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality and building meaningful guest relationships.
• Calm and composed under pressure, able to manage busy service periods with confidence.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day restaurant operations across The Dining Room and Bernie’s, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Supporting, motivating, and guiding the restaurant team through each shift.
• Creating a welcoming and memorable experience for members and guests from arrival to departure.
• Managing table allocations, reservations, and service flow for an organised operation.
• Building strong relationships with members and regular guests and anticipating their needs.
• Leading pre-service briefings and communicating menu updates and priorities.
• Coaching team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement.
• Collaborating with kitchen, bar, reception, events teams, and Duty Managers to deliver an exceptional member experience.
• Monitoring cleanliness, presentation, ambience and operational readiness across all restaurant areas.
• Handling guest feedback professionally and escalating where appropriate.
