An established industry player is seeking a Resort Safety Shift Manager to lead a dynamic team in ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. This role emphasizes leadership in a lively environment, where you'll coach and support team members while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. You'll play a key role in team selection and training, ensuring a positive guest experience. As Resort Safety Shift Manager, you will carry out tasks on shift to ensure the complete allocation of the team, maximizing positive guest experiences in our venues. You will build and develop positive relationships with guests, support team members during shifts to manage workload, and provide feedback to Resort Safety Managers on areas for improvement. Reviewing guest feedback to identify areas for enhancement will be part of your responsibilities.
You will conduct individual team member appraisals, coach, and support the team to ensure high training standards and fulfillment. Your role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, company policies (Fire, SIA, Licensing, health & safety), and encourages innovation to improve business results. You will also be involved in team selection, recruitment, and retention, with a focus on wellbeing.
This role predominantly involves night work, with occasional daytime shifts for training and recruitment. The working week covers 5 days within a 7-day schedule, requiring flexibility. As with all roles at Butlin’s, adaptability and guest focus are essential.
We seek an experienced leader from a security or safety background who can support the team in delivering excellent service. You should prioritize guests in all actions, with experience in training and coaching teams in a lively environment to ensure an excellent experience.
Previous leadership experience in a busy security or safety setting where quality and safety are crucial is required. You must be confident in directing responses in various situations while maintaining brand standards. Strong leadership skills, motivation, and engagement are vital, especially during high-demand periods. The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly is essential.
The successful candidate will hold an SIA (Door Supervision) license, Level 2 Door Supervision Qualification, First Aid Qualification, and ideally have a driving license or be willing to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.
