Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a Residential Support Worker in Norwich. The role supports children in a home setting, helping them enjoy childhood, build self-esteem and progress into adulthood.

Training begins with Skills to Care induction and two weeks of classroom-based training plus a week of shadow shifts. You will work toward a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months and join a team committed to safeguarding and development.

Qualifications

• Age 22+ to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health and wellbeing.
• Meet a variety of children and young people with varying supervision needs.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
