Job summary

Compass Homes is seeking a Residential Support Worker to build lasting relationships with children in our homes. You will support children’s activities, health, wellbeing, safeguarding, and daily routines in a nurturing, non-judgemental environment.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; Skills to Care induction includes 2 weeks of classroom-based training and a week of shadow shifts.
• You will be supported to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months, leading to a Level 3 qualification.
• Must be 22 years or above and possess a valid manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health, wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, including those requiring high levels of supervision.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and food shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
