Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a caring Residential Support Worker to help children in our home. You will support their health, wellbeing, education, and daily routines, building trusting relationships and safeguarding at all times.

Previous experience not required; Skills to Care induction includes two weeks of classroom training and a week of shadow shifts. You will work toward a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months, enabling career progression with Compass.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate approach to children in care.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
• Must have a valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to stay calm and Effective in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health and wellbeing.
• Meet a variety of children and young people with differing needs and supervise as required.
• Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
