Job summary

Compass Community Limited is recruiting a Residential Support Worker in Henfield. You will help children experience childhood, build self-esteem and support their journey into adulthood in a non-judgemental setting.

Training includes two weeks of classroom-based induction and a week of shadow shifts. The role offers progression toward a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months, alongside a salary starting at £29,390.4 plus sleep-in payments.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years or older to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence required.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health and wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, with supervision as needed.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
