Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help transform children’s lives in a supportive home environment. The role welcomes experienced workers or newcomers aiming to build a career in residential care, with training provided through two weeks of Skills to Care induction and a pathway to Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

You will help children participate in activities, monitor wellbeing, and assist with daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Age 22 or older to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, support health and wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people requiring varying levels of supervision and support.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and food shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
