Job summary

Aspris Rocester is seeking a Residential Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing care for young people in our home. You will help them engage in activities, build routines, and form healthy relationships with staff and peers.

• Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6 months of starting a Residential Support role.

Responsibilities

• Take young people to see friends and participate in activities such as trips to the cinema.
• Engage in community events, fundraisers, and galas to support personal and social development.
• Teach young people to cook and encourage independence in daily living tasks.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with the young people and staff to foster a safe environment.

Job description

At Rocester Childrens home we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, yet stimulating environment in which young people of all ages who have previously experienced emotional, social and academic failure and rejection in order to stabilise their behaviour. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.

Due to Location a Full UK driving licence is required At Aspris, learning never stops - and that’s something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.
