Job summary

Aspris is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker in Wisbech to lead shifts, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You will support independence, routines, and community activities, while maintaining safeguarding and detailed incident reporting.

Role requires driving license and a compassionate, child-centred approach with the ability to work collaboratively with families, professionals, and the Registered Manager.

Qualifications

Job description

We are a small and nurturing home in Wisbech that cares for four young people between the ages of 8 - 18 with emotional and behavioural needs. Our young people are supported at the home and in the community and are encouraged to undertake various activities and hobbies to increase their confidence and sense of belonging. We have a lovely home that supports independence and self-care skills so the young people can be independent in the future. We are currently rated as Good with Ofsted but hope to improve on this further. Everyone that visits talks about how homely and child focused the home is.

Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is required.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing home where children and young people can thrive. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will lead shifts, support and mentor colleagues, and help ensure the highest standards of care are delivered at all times.

You will support our young people to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes, whether that's learning essential life skills, engaging in hobbies and activities, maintaining education attendance, or enjoying new experiences within their local community. No two days are the same, from supporting with daily routines and fun activities, to managing challenging situations and celebrating achievements.
