Job description

Our Children's Residential Home in Leyland are looking for a dedicated and passionate, Residential Support Worker to join their team! As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the heart of creating a positive, nurturing, and enriching environment for young people. Our Children's Home in Leyland is a specialist home, supporting young people up to the age of 18 with learning difficulties. As a small, nurturing home, we provide highly individualised care, including 1:1 and 2:1 support where required, ensuring every young person receives the attention, guidance and consistency they need to thrive!

At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. That’s why our homes are shaped around the needs of each child - this ensures that all of our young people get the support that’s shaped around their strengths, challenges, and goals.

Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving license is essential.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.

At Aspris, learning never stops - and that’s something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.

To support you, we offer continuous CPD and development opportunities, helping you grow and become the best version of yourself.

What does this mean?

  • Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6-months of starting a Residential Support role
  • The opportunity to be qualified to degree level
  • A clear pathway for you to progress in your role
