Job summary

Aspris is seeking a Residential Support Worker to support children and young people in a Shropshire home. You will be at the heart of daily living, helping with activities, outings, cooking, and independence skills while building trusted relationships with young people and staff.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. The role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing environment and ongoing CPD opportunities through the organisation.

We are a 5 bedded home in Shropshire who support young people to work through their individual Trauma and life experiences. We work within Neurosequential model of therapy, (understanding the developing brain to heal trauma) and are supported by the company therapist team - We have a dedicated staff team with longevity of service which creates consistency for the young people, in turn creating a safe and secure environment for them to thrive develop - Telford Children’s Home which we believe is a very special home for children and young people where daily living experiences and activities are meaningful and memorable and are designed to meet the needs of individual children in areas that are personal to them.

Due to the location of this role, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.
