Job description

Our Residential Children's Home in Leyland are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join their team. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be at the heart of creating a positive, nurturing, and enriching environment for young people. Our Children's Home in Leyland is a specialist home, supporting young people up to the age of 18 with learning difficulties. As a small, nurturing home, we provide highly individualised care, including 1:1 and 2:1 support where required, ensuring every young person receives the attention, guidance and consistency they need to thrive!

Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving license is essential, along with your NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People.

At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. That's why our homes are shaped around the needs of each child - this ensures that all of our young people get the support that's shaped around their strengths, challenges, and goals.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing home where children and young people can thrive. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will lead shifts, support and mentor colleagues, and help ensure the highest standards of care are delivered at all times.

You will support our young people to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes, whether that's learning essential life skills, engaging in hobbies and activities, maintaining education attendance, or enjoying new experiences within your local community. No two days are the same, from supporting with daily routines and fun activities, to managing challenging situations and celebrating achievements.

At Aspris, learning never stops - and that's something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.

To support you, we offer continuous CPD and development opportunities, helping you grow and become the best version of yourself.

What does this mean?

  • Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6-months of starting a Residential Support role
  • The opportunity to be qualified to degree level
