Job description

Westover Children's Home is a four-bed therapeutic home supporting young people aged 12-18 who have experienced trauma, adversity and disrupted childhoods. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people can build positive relationships, develop independence and achieve their potential. Our team is welcoming, supportive and genuinely passionate about making a difference. We work hard, support one another and enjoy creating positive experiences for our young people through everyday activities, laughter and strong therapeutic relationships. We're looking for compassionate, resilient people who want to make a real difference and are comfortable using computers and digital recording systems as part of delivering high-quality care.

Due to the requirements of the role, all candidates are required to hold a full UK driving licence.

At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. That's why our homes are shaped around the needs of each child - this ensures that all of our young people get the support that’s shaped around their strengths, challenges, and goals.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.

At Aspris, learning never stops - and that's something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.

To support you, we offer continuous CPD and development opportunities, helping you grow and become the best version of yourself.

What does this mean?

  • Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6-months of starting a Residential Support role
  • The opportunity to be qualified to degree level
  • A clear pathway for you to progress in your role

We believe every child and young person has potential.

We work in partnership with parents and guardians to unlock this potential through specialist care, support and education. Tailoring our care and education provisions to meet the diverse needs of children and young people ensuring that they always receive the right support, at the right time, and in the right setting. Our team of experts work together to deliver safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive. When a young person's confidence grows, they become limitless. This is the heartbeat of our work - every day, every hour and every minute.

That is the Aspris difference.
