Job summary

Ramsden Hall Academy is seeking a Residential Child Care Worker to support boys aged 10 to 16 with SEMH in a residential setting after school, evenings and overnight.

The role involves providing structure, care and learning support until the following morning, with a rota that includes sleep-ins. Training and progression to Level 3 Residential Childcare are provided within a supportive trust.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or care for others, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
• Good knowledge of First Aid and willingness to learn how to administer medication.
• Valuing a calm, structured approach to residential care and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils after school, during evenings and overnight, helping them prepare for the following day.
• Prepare and share healthy meals and snacks, encourage hygiene routines.
• Promote learning through homework and structured activities.
• Support bedtime routines and a calm evening environment.
