Job summary

Witherslack Group is hiring a Night Support Worker to care for children and young people with SEMH during the night shifts. You’ll be part of our Care Academy pathway, supporting residents through challenging moments and celebrating small victories.

You’ll start with a four‑week off‑the‑job induction and will handle tasks like paperwork, laundry and cleaning while building trust with the young people and supporting their sleep and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• We genuinely care about our young people and honesty/empathy are a must.
• The resilience to deal with challenging situations.
• A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll pay for you to study and support you.

Responsibilities

• Overnight care for young people, supporting them through wakeful periods.
• Carry out paperwork, cleaning and laundry tasks in quieter times.
• Build rapport and trust with children to support positive outcomes.
