Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking a Resident Liaison Officer to support a Social Housing Planned Works programme in Basildon. This is a full-time, temporary role with a view to permanent after 3 months, paying £15.20–£17.20 per hour (40 hours per week) plus mileage.

You will develop positive relationships with residents, provide information and support during refurbishment and major works, resolve complaints and queries quickly, and act as the main point of contact for tenants while

Qualifications

• Experience in resident liaison or customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and provide information during refurbishment and major works.
• Training available; previous main contractor experience on similar projects is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with residents to provide information and support during refurbishment, maintenance and major works programmes.
• Prevent and limit dissatisfaction, resolve complaints and queries quickly and efficiently.
• Act as the main point of contact for tenants; liaise with neighbourhood housing associations.
• Visit properties undergoing works and advise tenants on completion dates.
• Attend and chair tenant forum meetings to update tenants on works.

Resident Liaison Officer - Social Housing Planned Works

Based in Basildon

Full time, temp to perm

£15.20 - £17.20 per hour (40 hour week) + mileage

We are working with a leading main contractor to find a successful and proactive Resident Liaison Officer to join their team delivering a planned maintenance contract within Social Housing based in Basildon. This role is a temporary position, with a view to going permanent after 3 months.

It will be your responsibility to develop positive relationships with residents in order to provide information and support during refurbishment, maintenance and major works programmes. You will prevent and limit dissatisfaction, resolve complaints and queries quickly and efficiently. This scheme is working closely with a public sector client so previous experience working for a main contractor on similar projects is ideal but not required as training given on the job.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Working on planned maintenance projects
• Decent Homes programme experience
• Full clean driving licence with own vehicle
• Pre-entry visits and company inductions
• Collect tenancy agreement/approval forms
• Visiting tenants in their homes and advising them on when and what work is being carried out
• Act as the main point of contact and deal with any problems/queries that the tenant may have
• Contacting neighbourhood housing associations and establishing working relations with them
• Visiting properties that are being refurbished with potential tenants and advising them on completion dates
