Job summary

Student Roost in Liverpool is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day resident experience across our student accommodation. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours across 5 days, with responsibilities leading onsite teams, coordinating maintenance, and delivering service excellence.

You will partner with contractors and universities, drive safe and compliant operations, and play a key part in creating a welcoming, well-run home for our students while supporting your colleagues

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of onsite departments and bring the team together.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to high service levels in all interactions.
• Be commercially savvy, driving sales and marketing results.
• Bring your whole self to work and lead by example every day.
• Assist the Operations Manager with the property's financial performance.
• Build relationships with team members, contractors and universities to enhance the living environment.
• Maintain a safety-first approach to operating safe and compliant properties.
• Deliver a great customer experience and create a welcoming, well-run home for residents.
• Ensure properties present to the highest standard and are well maintained.
• Develop and guide the team to fill properties year-round with residents who want to stay.
• Grow your personal development and support the team’s progression.
• Be the day-to-day expert on running our buildings and supporting your colleagues.
• Understand your team, motivate them to sell out buildings, and stay compliant.
• Collaborate with Finance, People, Health and Safety, Marketing and Procurement for queries.
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver the best customer experience.
