Job summary

The Baileys Hotel London is seeking a Reservations Agent to be the first point of contact for guests and other stakeholders, offering friendly and professional service and to enter correct booking information into Opera in a timely manner and to operate with a selling attitude at all times in order to maximise room sales and Hotel Revenues.

Based in London, the Reservations Agent will work with the front desk and sales teams to ensure accurate reservations, deliver excellent customer service,

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of Opera.
• Capacity to complete jobs within the deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with the Opera system and apply it to individual and group reservations.
• Follow all department standards of performance and procedures.
• Obtain the information required for a reservation accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain thorough product knowledge and use it when dealing with clients.
• Operate with a sales attitude to maximise revenue.
• Understand telephone standards and answer calls promptly and professionally.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts owns and operates a portfolio of over 120 hotels worldwide. In Europe, our 21 hotels provide the perfect gateway to explore landmark locations, with many iconic attractions and business hubs close by.

Reservations Agent key responsibilities:

• To be fully conversant with the Opera system and to apply it to individual and group reservations
• To be fully aware of all department standards of performance and procedures and to follow them
• To be fully aware of all information required for a reservation and to obtain it accurately and efficiently
• To possess a thorough product knowledge at all times and to utilise this information when dealing with clients
• To operate with a sales attitude and be aware of the sales opportunities within the Hotel which will assist with the maximisation of revenue
• To have a comprehensive understanding of the departmental telephone standards and that calls are answered and handled in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standards.
