Job description

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s Urban Design & Building Services team is looking to employ a Repairs & Maintenance Support Officer primarily working in the Sandwell Property Care Helpdesk but also supporting other members of the Practice Coordination team when needed.

You will be part of a team dealing with emergency and non-emergency calls/requests from customers in public buildings (schools, office accommodation, libraries, leisure centres) across the Borough. The role will involve liaising with contractors on the carrying out of repairs to a set of agreed priorities.

You will be required to provide this service on behalf of Urban Design & Building Services for both internal and external customers who opt to buy the services of Sandwell Property Care.

We offer flexible working hours, to help maintain a good work life balance. The helpdesk is open between 8.00 - 4.00 Monday to Friday, which will dictate your working hours.

This vacancy is ideal for a suitably qualified/experienced person who can demonstrate outstanding customer service skills. The minimum requirements are set out in the Job Description and Personal Specifications of the post.
