Gilmartins in Houghton Regis is seeking an experienced Repairs Booker to join our busy social housing maintenance team. You will manage a high-volume inbox, call tenants, and schedule maintenance for our engineers, thriving in a fast-paced, organised environment.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong administrative skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Working hours are Monday to Friday with on‑duty evenings on a rota and occasional weekend coverage as needed.

Formación

• Experience in Repairs Booker/Scheduler/Customer Service roles.
• Experience in social housing, repairs or property maintenance is desirable.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.

Houghton Regis | Full-Time | Office-Based

We are looking for an experienced and organised Repairs Booker to join our busy social housing maintenance team in Houghton Regis.

This is a fast‑paced role where you’ll be responsible for managing a high‑volume inbox, making outbound calls to tenants, and scheduling maintenance appointments for our engineers. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy environment, be highly organised, and have excellent customer service skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing a busy shared inbox and responding to customer enquiries
• Making high volumes of outbound calls to tenants
• Scheduling and booking maintenance repairs for engineers
• Rearranging appointments and updating repair records as required
• Ensuring all jobs are accurately logged on the company system
• Liaising with tenants, engineers and clients to ensure appointments are completed efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service at all times

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Repairs Booker, Scheduler, Planner or Customer Service role
• Experience working within social housing, repairs or property maintenance is highly desirable
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a demanding workload in a fast‑paced environment
• Good IT skills and attention to detail

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Required to work until 6:00pm on a rota basis
• One Saturday or Sunday per month
• Additional hours paid at standard hourly rate
