Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a senior Network Systems Engineer to lead technical pre-sales for Tier 2 service provider customers in the UK. You will translate customer priorities into architectures across routing, switching, security, automation and cloud operations.

You will build long-term relationships with technical decision-makers, deliver demonstrations and proofs of concept, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a best-in-class customer experience from initial engagement

Qualifications

• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience with service provider networks in a technical pre-sales, Sales/Systems Engineering, consulting or network architecture role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., JNCIP/JNCIE, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP) are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Expert-level understanding of IP routing technologies and protocols; strong knowledge of MPLS and segment routing.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical sales strategy and technical account plan for assigned customers.
• Discover and qualify customer requirements, then translate into clear solution architectures and value propositions.
• Design and propose HPE Networking solutions across routing, switching/DC, security, automation, assurance and cloud operations.
• Engage and influence customer technology strategies through presentations, workshops and proofs of concept.
• Build trusted relationships with technical decision-makers, architects and procurement stakeholders.
• Lead technical responses to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, including high-level designs and BOMs.
