Open Cosmos is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and validate satellite flight software for Linux and RTOS-based systems. You'll work across Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations to deliver reliable, high-quality software for space missions.

You should be comfortable with Rust or C/C++, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices, and you will contribute to post-launch operations and continuous improvement of software architecture, with guidance on ECSS standards

Qualificações

• Strong programming in Rust or C/C++ with ability to transition to Rust.
• Experience in Linux development environments and scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Secure coding practices for mission-critical software.
• Knowledge of RTOS concepts and embedded software.
• Understanding of spacecraft subsystems and interfaces.
• Awareness of ECSS standards and documentation practices.
• Testing, verification, and traceability for critical systems.
• Collaborative cross-functional development with Systems, Electronics, and Ops.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software.
• Support ground tools and ensure robustness and traceability.
• Develop features for Linux and RTOS-based systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD.
• Maintain configuration control and full software traceability.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations.
• Contribute to post-launch operations and build/integration.
• Drive architectural and process improvements for reliability and delivery.
