Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software across Linux and RTOS platforms.

You will contribute to robust, traceable code aligned with mission requirements and system interfaces. Joining our Data Division, you’ll collaborate with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations teams, participate in code reviews and CI/CD, and help advance architecture and reliability for space missions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in embedded or space-grade software design.
• Experience with Rust or transition from C/C++ to Rust.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards and space software practices.
• Understanding of RTOS and Linux development in embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining satellite flight software.
• Supporting ground tools to ensure robust, traceable software for space missions.
• Developing features for Linux and RTOS-based systems aligned with mission requirements.
• Participating in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD processes for high software quality.
• Maintaining configuration control, documentation, and full software traceability throughout development.
