Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking a software engineer to design, implement, and validate satellite flight software, working in Linux and RTOS environments with cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to ground tools, CI/CD, and software verification to ensure mission-critical reliability and traceability across space missions, collaborating with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Rust or C/C++ with ability to transition to Rust.
• Experience in Linux development environments and scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining satellite flight software.
• Supporting ground tools and ensuring software is robust and traceable.
• Developing features for Linux/RTOS-based systems per mission requirements.
• Participating in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD processes.
• Maintaining configuration control and full software traceability across the lifecycle.
• Collaborating with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams.
• Contributing to post-launch operations and integration activities.
• Driving continuous improvement in architecture and engineering processes.
