Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software and related ground tools.

You will work across cross-functional teams to turn space data into usable insights and ensure high reliability of mission-critical systems. The role emphasizes Linux/RTOS development, code reviews, CI/CD, traceability, and collaboration with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded/space-grade software design and validation.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards and aerospace software practices.
• Experience with RTOS-based systems and mission-critical software.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining satellite flight software
• Supporting ground tools, ensuring software is robust and traceable
• Developing features for Linux and RTOS-based systems in line with requirements
• Participating in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD processes
• Maintaining configuration control, documentation, and full software traceability
• Collaborating with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams
• Contributing to post-launch operations and build/integration activities
• Driving continuous improvement in architecture and engineering processes
